Women's Health: Women's health refers to health issues specific to human female anatomy. These often relate to structures such as female genitalia and breasts or to conditions caused by hormones specific to, or most notable in, females. Women's health issues include menstruation, contraception, maternal health, child birth, menopause and breast cancer.

"My goal is to provide comprehensive health-care and preventive screening services for women ages 16 years and older, in a warm, comfortable environment. Annual Exams: Anual exams include an evaluation of breasts, abdomen, pelvic and sometimes rectal area. They sometimes involve exams of the heart, lungs, thyroid gland and back. They usually involve a PAP smear. These exams also include an evaluation of the skin surrounding all of the above areas, a blood pressure check, pulse check and urine evaluation. All women should have these exams yearly, starting at the age of 18, or sooner if a women becomes sexually active before that age.

Breast Care: Breast exams are performed routinely at all anual exams. Self breast exam is taught, and any breast complaints (pain,lumps,discharge,etc.) are evaluated URGENTLY. Appropriate tests (mammogram, ultrasound, etc.) are also ordered.

Incontinence Care: "Irritable bladder" or "stress" incontinence are two of the most common problems that affect women. Often however, patients are too embarrassed to bring these problems up. Please let Dr. Rehman know if this is a problem for you. She Can Help!!

Menopause Care: Dr. Rehman offers conventional menopausal treatment options, as well as guidence with alternative treatments.

Diabetes: Dr. Rehman provides comprehensive management and education to adults with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, as well as those with pre-diabetes, metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, and polycystic ovary syndrome. Focusing on life style interventions and employing the latest medications and technologies to treat or prevent diabetes, Dr. Rehman seeks to improve the health and well being of all her patients. Dr. Rehman provides a variety of services to older people and their families. They include:

a) Medical Evaluation and Treatment of problems common in later life, including (but not limited to) arthritis, osteoporosis, urinary incontinence, shingles, post-shingles pain and multiple medication use. Clinic staff members are skilled in the assessment of elders with multiple problems. The goal of treatment is to help patients participate as fully as possible in the activities of daily living.

b) Cognitive and Psychiatric Evaluation and Treatment of such conditions as memory problems, confusion, dementia, depression, anxiety, thought disorders and psychological testing.
